Simply Magnolia DT - CAS or Fully Loaded

Morning everyone, and Happy March 1st! It's lovely and sunny here, if a little breezy, but it could almost be Spring... so looking forward to the warmer weather, it can't come quick enough for me!

Here's my make for
'CAS or Fully Loaded'
challenge!

I love throwing this challenge in every now and then as it means that everyone can join in, no matter what your crafting style.

As you may know by now, I'm part of a birthday circle and so a lot of things that I make are going to be birthday cards to send all over the world - I'm really enjoying it, it's such a thrill to make cards with a purpose and send them off to some amazing destinations!
So this is one I made earlier and already arrived for the birthday girl!

Magnolia Pisces Tilda, coloured with DI's using 'no lines' technique
Added pearls and pearl maker pen on and around Tilda's head
Added glossy accents to the bubbles in the water
Other stamps - sentiment by LOTV, Chapter One clear stamp by Kaisercraft
Paper - Magnolia

Challenges I would love to enter:
Bunny Zoes - For the Girls
Midweek Magnolias - #108 Sentimental PLUS DT call!

Thanks for visiting my blog today!
Hope everyone has a lovely week,

Furry Friends for D.O.C

Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I last blogged, the last Deep Ocean challenge to be precise, I've been bogged down with homework from my job just lately and it's severely cut down my crafting time - how frustrating! Hopefully though, I'm getting ahead with creations now, as I don't like working under pressure and I'm never as happy with my cards when I rush them.
Enough of my waffle, here's my card for Deep Ocean's new challenge....
'Our Furry Friends'

Supplies:
Go Kreate shaped card die
TH papers
Magnolia horse stamps, barbed wire fence background (coloured with DI's)
WOC/Magnolia flowers
Magnolia doohickey scalloped stitched lace border, swirl
ribbon, cheesecloth and gems from stash

Challenges I would like to enter:
Magnolia-licious - Bingo! (diagonal - bling, diecuts, ribbon)
Tildas Town - Favourite (Horseriding) holiday

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
I'll be back on Sunday with my midway inspiration for Simply Magnolia

Love is all around @ Deep Ocean DT

Evening everyone,
today sees the start of a brand new challenge for us over at

'Love is all around'
and here's what I made:

I started with just the plain white heart which has a clip on the bottom string.

The clip has a tag featuring Tilda with heart arrows, coloured with DI's. I added aged silver frantage first around the image, on top of that I added shabby pink frantage. The heart text stamp around Tilda is from the BoBunny Love Letters clear stamp set. I used Spellbinders Labels two to cut around the image and the pink background card. SU spiral punch used down left side of both. DooHickeys used: cloud and wings. A bark heart from LLC and WOC flowers are the finishing touches.

A close up of Tilda shows the stickles used on her headband and the crackle accents on the hearts.

I used an SU heart cluster stamp for part of the edge of the white heart. More aged silver frantage for embossing the Love sentiment (again from the BoBunny set) and finished off with more WOC flowers, pink gems and pink tulle ribbon.

Deep Ocean DT - Lace and Pearls

Hi everyone,
Oh no I'm a day late with my Deep Ocean DT creation! It took longer than I thought it would to complete and then I've had loads of problems today with my laptop - I hate technology sometimes, can't live with it, can't live without it!
Our theme this fortnight is a beautiful one -
'Lace and Pearls'

My creation tonight is a criss cross card and gift box combined in the shape of a purse/handbag
The base of the box and card are Go Kreate and Spellbinders. Magnolia's Tilda with rose basket is coloured with DI's, surrounded by SU text and edge stamps and cut from Spellbinders labels two die. Other accessory dies used: TH weathered clock, Magnolia DooHickeys tag, peaky floral tab, antique lace, afternoon tea bench. The pearl lace is new to my stash from Live and Love Crafts. Pearl pin, ribbon and lace, WOC flowers and pearls are all from my stash. The gorgeous paper is all Magnolia.

The criss cross card insert has the Magnolia peaky floral tab crossed at the top to represent the purse clasp.

Inside and small sides of the box are covered using Maja paper, and more pearls are randomly scattered.

Back of the box, decorated with more lace and pearls, plus Magnolia DooHickey tea bench and small  WOC rose buds entwined.

Close up showing frantage, pearl maker pen, and silver gel pen detail along with that gorgeous lace.
