Handmade Flowers for Deep Ocean DT

Hi everyone,
Sorry, I'm a day late with my creation for
which this time is all about
Handmade Flowers!

I'm late because hubby's off this week and thrown me totally out of my routine!
This card is for my friend's mum and dad who are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary next week. He's commissioned me to make quite a few cards for him, so you'll get to see them over the coming weeks :)
Saying that, it's also taking me out of my comfort zone as I'm doing cards I've not had to do before, and this one is a prime example - no image! This might be a first for me as I always do cards with an image as the focus, but I'm pleased with the final result even though it's something I wouldn't normally do :)

The shape of the card is a Go Kreate card die - frilly square #8
The wording is computer generated and cut out using Spellbinders Labels sixteen, as is the gold mirri card underneath.  Faux stitching inside and out. I covered the chipboard 50 in gold Frantage.
Cheesecloth, paper and ribbon are from my stash.

The handmade flowers were made by cutting Magnolia doohickey peony and doily flowers out of watercolour paper, coloured with TH scattered straw and wild honey DI's, a couple of pearl stamens in the middle and with star dust stickles to finish. The Spellbinder leaves are cut from gold mirri card.

A picture of the inside....  a criss cross design to hold a photo to mark the occasion.

We are sponsored this fortnight by the wonderful Ribbon Girl with this fab prize:

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
Can't wait to see your amazing creations!
Have fun :)
Hugs,

This is gorgeous Nicola. I love the wording as the focal point and your embellishments are so beautiful.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
