Hi blogging friends,
It's Saturday again which means only one thing, another
challenge!! This week Fleur is our hostess and she has chosen the fab theme of
Starting/Back to School!
My take on this was to make a tag scrapbook for my daughter who is going to be doing her final year at preschool this time around and I thought I would take a couple of pictures of her with her little friends as a momento of her early years - she won't remember these precious times when she's older :(
I wanted to enter TOMIC's Recycling challenge this week as I have so much fun with this theme and so I made the tag out of a cardboard tube.
The page was torn out of my son's old dictionary (he doesn't know yet!). The 'Back to school' sign is made out of lollipop sticks and as I didn't have any school Tildas I had to 'borrow' a school bag for her from an LOTV image.
This is what 'raw' materials I started with, cardboard tube, lollipop sticks, dictionary page, napkin and there's Tilda with Butterfly dress stamped out ready to transform into a school girl. The hash marked area is a paper cut out of the LOTV school bag to see if it looked right.
This is the first inside pages, the lined paper on the left is from SU Botanical range and is for a little bit of journalling. On the right hand side I will mount a picture over some of the dictionary page.
The second inside page layout is similar to the first, just with slightly different finishing touches.
And the back page, the napkin was great to distress as it held the crumples nicely but didn't rip.
