Scrapbook LO for Allsorts

Good morning and welcome to another
 challenge!
This week it's not only my turn to host but also, sadly, my last challenge for Allsorts as a DT member. It's been such a tough decision, and not been made lightly. I have had an amazing time over the past 15 months or so, but due to family and work commitments, I can no longer fulfill the Allsorts DT requirements to the level that I have been and rather than let the others down and feel like I'm not pulling my weight I decided to step down.
Anyway, enough doom and gloom, on to the important business of show and tell what I made for this weeks challenge  -
a Scrapbook page!

The piccie is of my daughter, Jasmine, taken earlier this year at preschool. I prefer her hair tied back but she had just had loads cut off and it was her new 'do'. Looking at it now, she looks like a lad, but I can asure you she is a drama queen through and through!
The tag on the right pulls out for a bit of journalling, and the sentiment is computer generated.

Don't judge the LO too harshly, I'm not as good as some of you out there as I don't do scrapbooking as a rule, but I do like to try different things and love the concept (I think I should do more!)

Supplies:
Spellbinders nesties fleur de lis
Magnolia scalloped stitched lace doohickey
Go Kreate card shape die
SU spiral punch
Various papers: Magnolia, SU and Kaiserkraft (I think)

Remember to pop over to the Allsorts challenge blog to be inspired by my teamies fab creations and I hope you have time to join in, the fab prizes this week are:
5 images of winners choice from
and
$10 voucher to spend in

Thanks for visiting today and have a lovely crafty weekend

Bingo! @ Totally Tilda

Morning blogland,
I'm here for the third day running (can you believe it, 'cos I can't!) and today I have my second creation for
 following Dawn's totally brilliant
Bingo Grid! (see below)
I love a game of bingo (but only if it's mixed with craft - I'm no good at the proper game, I always get flustered when the numbers are called so fast and I am like six numbers behind lol!).

I decided to make a napkin fold card, to compliment my sepia coloured Tilda in Ugg boots that I coloured last week (scroll down to see my Fussy and Fancy card which has another sepia coloured Tilda) I did three in total in one sitting and so it may seem like I did a job lot of them! You could say I got carried away, but I love sepia colouring (only using DI Walnut stain)

This is a picture of the card tied closed with the image attached to a belly band and a tag tucked in behind the image on the left:

I started with an 8" square piece of kraft which I scored at 2" and 6", turned the cardstock and scored again at the same intervals. I folded at the score lines and opened it out again.  Next I folded the corners in to the centre and unfolded again before using matching MS punches to PATP. The card had to be folded and coaxed into shape before finally turning back the top corners. I then decorated the panels with coordinating DP's.

In the bottom of the card I added a Spellbinder nestie Fleur de Lis diecut from more kraft and both this and the Magnolia doohickey tag were overstamped with an SU circular birthday stamp.

I made the Tilda image into a tag shape, edged on the left with Magnolia doohickey Tilda's lace border with some lace stapled to the top. I used the same MS punch to edge the belly band and the Spellbinders foliage leaves are cut from more coordinating paper.

I used the diagonal line of the bingo grid: gems, punches and flowers, although I did also use other elements of the grid too. Just to remind you, you can use any line horizontally, vertically or diagonally, combine more than one line or use a 'full house' and use all the elements on the grid.

Inspired by a Song - Allsorts DT #173

Morning everyone,
The weekend starts here with the start of a brand new
challenge. This week our lovely Emma wants us to be
Inspired by a Song
and I chose Abba's song 'Dancing Queen', as I had just bought Magnolia's Dancing Queen Tilda. I have to say I'm not totally happy with this card, I think it's because I ventured out of my comfort zone with the colour combo, and I didn't throw everything at it like I usually do lol!

Supplies:
Go Kreate shaped card die
Spellbinders Nestie labels twenty three
Magnolia doohickeys cloud and Tilda's lace border
TH elegant flourishes die
Magnolia Dancing Queen Tilda coloured with DI's
SU linen thread
flowers, lace and doily from stash

Allsorts are sponsored this week by
with this fabby prize

Challenge I would like to enter:
CLP - Sketch

Purple Passion - Allsorts DT #172

Morning everyone,
Hope you're all ready for another
challenge as it's Saturday once again, don't the weeks roll by!
Last weeks Allsorts challenge was a runaway success for new teamie Sarah, I guess everybody loves layers :) I hope our other new teamie, Tracy, has as many entrants this week with her fab theme of
Purple Passion.

With a challenge title like that I just had to base mine around Cadbury's Dairy Milk, as the packaging is purple and the chocolate is certainly a passion of mine lol! So, I put my thinking cap on and made an easel box card....

I made a 4"x4" box and covered the outside of it with dairy milk wrapper, the lid also has a doo hickey peony petal flower and several WOC roses tucked in around some purple ribbon and a feather I found lurking in my stash. The sentiment is a Whimsey mini postage stamp.

Behind the image on the inside of the lid, I used doo hickey scalloped stitched lace to edge the purple polka dot paper with a spellbinders nestie labels two for a written message.

My masked image, merging Magnolia Tilda with striped apron and tin boxes is coloured using DI's.

and as you can see the easel card comes out of the box, although I did toy with the idea of sticking it down so it doesn't come out.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today and leaving such inspirational comments.
Please visit my other teamie's, whose work is all so beautiful. Allsorts are sponsored this week by

$10 voucher Love to Stamp

who have a $10 voucher to use in their online store for the lucky winner!

Have a wonderful crafty weekend and I will be back next weekend with no less than three creations for my treasured design teams :)

Debut creation as a Totally Tilda DT member!

Good Morning blogland and isn't it just the best day!
I still can't quite believe that this is my first creation as a Totally Tilda designer, I keep thinking I'm going to wake up in a minute and find out it was all a dream lol! Bear with me as although I'm excited, I'm equally nervous and don't feel worthy of such a prestigious position....but I've got to just relax and enjoy the ride, as it's taken me a long time to get this far in design teams, I've worked hard to get where I am and am extremely grateful :)

The fabulous
 challenge (#55) this fortnight is
Autumn Tilda

and the possibilities are literally endless! I was spoilt for choice with project for this theme, but in the end I decided to do a treat box, nothing new I know, they are all over blogland, but believe it or not I've never made one and was intrigued and inspired to have a go when I saw the beautiful one that Norma made.
Our sponsor this time is Bunny Zoe's Crafts

with a wonderful prize of

and without further ado, here's my Autumn Tilda Treat Box, I made it to keep my Autumn embellies together such as charms, die cut leaves, feathers etc and to remind me of my first challenge with Totally Tilda that I have been privileged enough to be a part of. (Apologies in advance - there are a few photo's!)

Allsorts DT # 171 Layers

Morning all,
It's been a manic couple of days back at school this week, I don't know how I ever made it to the weekend in one piece, I've been pulled in so many directions I didn't know whether I was coming or going at times and I hope things settle down soon as I can't keep the rate of pace up for much longer!
It was my youngest, Jasmine's, first couple of days at school and she's only been going for two hours at a time - I've nearly met myself coming back a couple of times! I've been working at preschool but doing odd hours and I haven't got into any sort of routine yet, I do like my routine lol!
Anyway enough of my waffle, got to get on with my post as it's a full day today visiting friends, having my hair cut and coloured, and my eldest has been invited to a swim party by my bestie Fleur who's daughter is 10 today, OMG double figures!!! It will be my son Joshua's 10th birthday in November - doesn't the time fly!
It's a fab new challenge over at
this morning, chosen by our lovely new teamie Sarah, who wants to see lots of
Layers.
I love doing layers, the more the merrier for me, that's probably why I struggle with CAS cards lol!

My layers consist of:
scalloped edged card base with square purple polka dot paper,
next I added a Go Kreate die cut shape with slightly smaller piece of blue polka dot paper cut to fit at the corners (two of the cut corners were added to the image corners)
then on top of that I added two stitched panels using Magnolia blue flurry paper and cut the edges using scalloped stitched Magnolia doohickey, and tied purple ribbon to one of the panels
the image was an LOTV new release that I coloured using promarkers at Dawny P's workshop when I went to Leeds last month - just added some stickles to finish it off, sewed the edges and added cheesecloth and a nestie frame behind
I tucked a Magnolia doohickey tag behind the image (complete with more DP and a snowflake charm)
Lastly I added flowers (big white one - WOC, others unknown origin!) and tucked some nestie foliage in between.
Phew, that was a lot of layers to describe!
After all that, I hope you can join us at Allsorts this week and be inspired by the DT creations to make your own layered masterpiece. We are sponsored by
offering a fab prize of three packs of die cuts!

Thanks so much for visiting me today and the lovely comments that you leave x
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, full of craft perhaps....
I will be back tomorrow with my debut creation for Totally Tilda, I'm both nervous and excited in equal measure so wish me luck!
Hugs,

Allsorts #170 Anything but a square or rectangle

Morning blogland, I can't quite believe it's the first of September today, where has the summer gone! Fingers crossed that we have a warm autumn :0)
I feel all refreshed after my holiday, albeit a short Mon-Fri break, to Skipsea (east coast,Yorkshire). The weather was mixed but that didn't stop us, the kids found staying in the caravan sooooo exciting, and Cocoa the delinquant puppy behaved herself (could it be that at the ripe old age of 9 months she is starting to fall into the family's routine?) Never! my OH scoffs from the other side of the sofa, she's a boxer lol, I have to agree!
Today sees the start of another fab
challenge, hosted this week by our lovely Debs, who wants to see
 Anything but Squares or Rectangles
- how fun! I just had to make one of these cute baby carriages, I followed the fab tutorial that was in  Magnolia Ink magazine. Although it's not very big, it could still be given as a New Baby or Christening gift with something cute tucked inside!

Supplies:
Nesties Circles and lacey circles
Magnolia DooHickey Tildas Lace and dragonfly
Magnolia papers White lace and Bubble

Thanks so much for your visit today, and for all the fantastic comments you leave xoxo
Don't forget, all the details for this week's challenge is over at Allsorts along with the rest of the amazing DT creations!
Until next Saturday, wishing you a fab weekend and week ahead
Hugs,
