Summer Colours - Deep Ocean DT

Evening friends!
I've got my new DT creation to show you tonight for

the challenge??

Summer Colours!
The prize for this challenge is a guest DT spot with us, I wonder who the lucky winner will be!!

I love being part of this challenge DT, every fortnight I can't wait to see all the awesome/unique creations that are entered into each new challenge (it doesn't make picking a Top 3 very easy though lol!)
I've made a box with a difference this time, the lid is smaller (and therefore sits inside) the base. The colours took me way out of my comfort zone as I never use orange, and so I don't know whether I'm totally happy with how it turned out!

Supplies:
Magnolia Burger Tilda, BBQ and Summer Hill background all coloured with DI's, finished with white shabby Fran-tage and glossy accents. The edge stamps are Magnolia and Kaisercraft.
Magnolia DooHickeys - Tildas lace, doily flower and leaves
Flowers - WOC and Magnolia
Papers and ribbon from stash

Challenge I would love to enter:
MDUC - Anything Goes
Tildas Town - Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting me today and for the lovely comments you leave!
I'll be back on Thursday for more Marvelous Magnolia inspiration!

Anywho, here's side one of my double sided tag:

Magnolia Tilda in the forest coloured with DI's, edge stamps are Magnolia and Kaisercraft, fir tree stamp by Stampin' Up!

Ribbon and bells from stash

Magnolia Christmas eve Edwin coloured with DI's, edge stamps are Magnolia and Kaisercraft, background winter trees stamp is Stampin' Up!

Lots of layers for Deep Ocean Challenge DT

Evening everyone!
It's the start of another Deep Ocean challenge, don't the weeks fly by?!
This time we want to see
'Lots of Layers'

The Go Kreate shaped die base is covered in Magnolia double-sided Grandpa's rose garden paper. There are two layers of this paper so that parts of the second layer could be torn back to show both sides of paper. I added a doohickey tag and Tildas ticket on top of some cheesecloth. The doohickey fence was cut from peeled back cardboard and tucked under the stitched image. Doohickey peaky floral tabs were added under and over the image. WOC flowers and doohickey jungle leaves finished it off!

Magnolia Tilda with bunny balloon was coloured using DI's, I added plenty of pearl maker pen and glossy accents/frantage on the bunny balloon. Postage stamps are Magnolia too. The 'thanks' sentiment is SU.

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is The Ribbon Girl
with this fab prize:

Still 'Anything Goes' @ Marvelous Magnolia

Hi all!
You've still got a week to enter everyone's favourite challenge over at
Anything Goes!

Whoohoo, I love this theme!
I made a secret treat box thingy and added a couple of extra bits to it to make it look like a beach hut.
*Warning - this post is picture heavy!!

I covered the basic treat box in a mixture of papers - SU, Magnolia and unknown. I designed some steps and added fence doohickey to the sides. The door is more SU paper with a button handle with doohickey Tildas lace border and WOC flowers across the top. The roof is more Tildas lace doohickey cut from a Raspberry Road paper. Bikini Tilda is coloured with Distress Inks and added pearl pen to her anklets.

Salute Tilda is coloured with DI's and gel pen on her buttons. Behind Tilda I used a brad a a nail to pin the cheesecloth up as fishing net, tied an anchor charm to the net and added moss, starfish and shells.

This is Splash Tilda minus the splash lol! After colouring her with DI's I cut her out and stuck her to some black card. The window shape and shutters are from Magnolias romantic window stamp, all stamped and cut out onto black or white card. I used some more paper for the middle of the shutters. The window sill is another strip of Tildas lace doohickey and finished with more WOC flowers.

This pic is just to show the dimension of the shutters stuck off from the box sides.

Tilda on the beach was again coloured with DI's and I added a piece of SU paper cut from Tim Holtz scrollwork die to make it look like Tilda is dipping her toes in the sea.

The inside of the box when open. I had to create a roof  which wouldn't get in the way of opening and closing the box and finally came up with this design.

The four sides......

Our wonderful sponsor this time is Sandy at Live and Love Crafts

So come and join in the fun, there really is no excuse not to!

Challenges I would love to enter:
Tildas Town - The Great Outdoors
Magnolia Mania - Summer
LLC - By the Sea

Thanks for popping by, hope you have time to see what wonders my teamies have created too!
I'll be back on Sunday with more inspiration for Simply Magnolia, until then enjoy the rest of the week and the start of your weekend.
Hugs,
