Photo Inspiration Wk 148 Allsorts DT

Morning blogland,
Hope everyone is well and you have all had a great week in the sun! Pity it looks cooler and sort of dull this morning :(
Today sees the start of another wonderful

challenge, this week our lovely Debs is hosting a

Photo Inspiration challenge!

and here it is!......
I was spoilt for choice with all the pretty colour combinations

When I saw the picture I immediately thought of decorating a polystyrene egg. I made  a belly band to hold the egg closed once it's full of mini easter eggs, with two scenes using some gorgeous spring Magnolia images.

You can just see the chocolate eggs hiding inside!

The scene on the other side of the belly band:

Supplies:
Magnolia images: Tilda carrying a lamb, Tilda with newly hatched chick, magnolia tree, spring background
Nesties shape labels twenty three
Magnolia grass doo hickey, peony petal
Marianne creatables flower die

I would like to enter my project into the following:
Simply Magnolia - Dies or Punches and ribbon
Just Magnolia - Springtime
Magnolialicious - Photo inspiration

Thanks so much for popping by and visiting my blog today, your comments inspire me!
We would love for you to join us in this great Easter challenge, check out the details on Allsorts challenge blog for further inspiration and what you can win.

Allsorts DT Wk 147 Use a Cooking Recipe

Morning everyone,
Here again with a new creation for
 Allsorts.
This week it's Helene's turn to host and she would like to see us use a
 Cooking Recipe.
I loved the idea of this as it was something a bit different to get my teeth stuck into and had lots of ideas to inspire me to create this.....

I used a Nestie shape borrowed from my good friend Fleur to create my tag. The black spotted Kraft paper is My Minds Eye, the red patterned paper is Basic Grey. Really loving these LOTV images at the minute, this one is called Mix it and Make it.
I used Magnolia Doo Hickey Peony petal combined with WOC flowers and the butterflies are made using an SU die.

The above picture is just to display the tag with some muffin recipe ingredients and equipment. I had thought of tying it to a spatula in a childrens baking set for my daughter, Jasmine, for her fourth birthday, but I haven't bought her presents yet so had to just do a mock up photo instead.
Hope you can join us this week, just pop over to Allsorts for details!
Have an amazing weekend and I will be back midweek with some long over due blog candy that I have been meaning to do since I reached the 100 follower mark!
Hugs for now,

Three in a Row - Allsorts Wk 146

Morning blogland,
I'm back with another creation for
our great teamie Jo has picked
Three in a Row
for the challenge this week which, like my challenge last week, is nice and easy and I enjoyed making this card, although I did get stuck halfway through and had to put it down and go back to it after I'd had a think about which direction I wanted it to go in lol!

The papers and image are both from our sponsors Stitchy Bear who have kindly let us use some of their digi products.

The buttons are on a length of SU linen thread as the easel support.

Supplies:
My Minds Eye Kraft paper
Papers - Stitchy bear
Image - Flower fairy from Stitchy Bear
Go Kreate shaped card die
Magnolia Doo Hickey's  - Antique lace, heart swirl branch and cloud die
Buttons off Jasmine's old clothes
Marianne creatable rolled flower die

Thanks for popping by your comments mean so much!
Have a fab weekend and if you have time pop over to Allsorts and join in with this weeks challenge, the rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration for you again that I'm sure you will love!
Hugs,

Allsorts DT wk 145 - Say it with Flowers

Happy Saturday morning to one and all!
As it's my turn to host
challenge this week, I racked my brains once again for something to keep you all busy and although Mothers' Day is fast approaching I came up with
Say it with Flowers.
I guess it doesn't have to be a Mothers' Day card then and if you are anything like me, every creation has to have a couple of flowers on there somewhere, so easy peasy too!
This time I made a surprise pop-up card which I saw Mindy Baxter do, I followed the link she had left on her blog and found it very easy to make. Here's that same link (Here) if you want to have a go.

You can tell it was finished in a hurry, as the sentiment isn't quite straight, whoops!

Supplies:
BG sweet thread papers and Kraft
One of my new LOTV images- Milly Flower Power
SU sentiment plus handwritten 'mum', photo corner punch
most flowers are WOC
Magnolia Doo Hickey Antique lace die, peony petal die

Hope you can join us this week for such an easy challenge, pop over to Allsorts blog for full challenge details and the awesome DT inspiration that my teamies have made for you.
Scroll down for yesterday's Fussy and Fancy creation
Have a fantastic weekend whatever you are doing

Fussy and Fancy DT Fairies

Hi everyone,
For the next fortnight
 have a wonderful
Fairies
challenge! Check out the blog for more details on how to join in the fun and take a look at the other gorgeous DT creations for inspiration.
As funny as this may sound I don't possess many fairy images and had intended to buy some Lavinia fairy silhouette images for this theme but it crept up on me too quick to get any, anyway I might still get some, they will always come in handy for another creation!

This is what the card looks like as closed as it would go!

I would like to enter:

Supplies:
LOTV image coloured with DI's
SU and Magnolia paper, SU photo corner punch and pearls
Magnolia  Doo hickey antique lace die and tag die
Nesties Fleur de lis squares and foliage
WOC Flowers and doily

Hope you can join in with the challenge this fortnight and I will be back tomorrow with my challenge theme/creation for Allsorts!

Spring is on it's way!!!

Hi everyone,
I thought I would shock you all by posting two days in a row, and show you an extra card I've had time to make this week. This is a rarity for me as up till now I've been snowed under with college work, but as this is coming to an end I have more time to play - hurrah! Those who know me understand my total addiction to anything Magnolia, so it's no surprise that this card features Tilda and other Magnolia products LOL!

I was inspired by the following challenges equally:

TOMIC - #39 Tilda's birthday plus sketch
Magnolialicious - Think Spring
Simply Magnolia - Bling and bows
Magnolialicious Highlights - Moves and Grooves (Slide out Tag)

Supplies:
Go Kreate Half xxl Square Frames Frilly #10
Magnolia Orange paper and Cloudy pink hearts paper
Doo Hickeys - Lovely fence, heart swirl branch, tag, antique lace
Magnolia Stamps - tree and Tilda with chick
Kaisercraft Chapter one stamp - used on tag
SU Happy Birthday stamp

Please scroll down for this weeks Allsorts card......
I will be back on Friday with my latest creation for Fussy and Fancy, until then have a great week!
Hugs,

Spread your wings - Allsorts DT Wk 144

Morning blogland,
Hope you are all ready for a fab new
challenge! This week our lovely Brenda would like you to
 Spread your Wings.....
I had about three different images lined up for this one before settling for the 'caged bird- freed' look!

I brayered the bottom of a piece of white card using Old Paper Distress Ink, then overstamped with a couple of different grass stamps(Hobby Art- Clear set) using SU Choc chip ink. I masked clouds above this and the bird, bee and sentiment stamps are SU. I wanted to spotlight the bird but every time I coloured it in it looked wrong so third attempt I left black and white.

Papers used: BG Kraft and Kaisercraft Le Chateau
Blue and brown flowers are WOC and also used Magnolia Doo Hickey Heart Swirl Branch.

I brayered a corner of the inside too with the same grass stamps.
Hope you find time to play along with us this week, check out the details on the Allsorts blog and feast your eyes on all the DT's fab inspiration!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
