Still singing over at Totally Tilda

Afternoon everyone,
I'm a little late with my Midway Reminder for
 current challenge of
Inspired by a Song (Not Happy Birthday),
but with good reason - hubby and I went to a Fire and Ice summer ball last night to help raise money for Macmillan and a couple of local worthwhile causes and didn't get home until nearly three this morning. It was so worth it though and had a really great time!

Here's the card I made for this week and it was inspired by Bruno Mars - 'Marry You'

Supplies:
Go Kreate shaped card die
Nesties lacey square
DooHickeys - tag, feather and fence
flowers (some WOC), ribbon, bell, pin, paperclip, cheesecloth and pearls from stash
Stamps - Magnolia sentiment, loving bridal couple and vintage swedish background
SU butterfly embossing die

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Pretty Little Ribbon Shop
The pretty little ribbon
with this fabby prize

The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop are having a huge closing down sale!! Everything is reduced to rock bottom prices including all ribbon, twine, mulberry paper flowers, rubber stamps and embellishments.  Hurry stocks are selling out fast - you can browse the sale HERE

Challenge I would love to enter:

Summer Inspiration - Totally Tilda DT call

Hi blogging friends,
I'm posting for the third day in a row - it's a world record for me!
You may not realise (I can hardly believe it myself) but it's been a whole year since the wonderful ladies over at Totally Tilda asked me to be on their DT - it's such an awesome team to be a part of, I've loved every second and don't want it to end! Sooooo I thought there's nothing else for it....I'll have to reapply and see if they can put up with me for a bit longer lol! When I read that the theme for the
Totally Tilda DT call
 is
Your Interpretation of Summer
I instantly thought of doing a word album (for the first time ever!) so that Tilda could show you what Summer means to me.....

In the summer school holidays I love taking the kids to the local parkland and flying the kite so Tilda with kite had to be on there. I made her kite by cutting a diamond shape piece of blue paper and added SU linen thread for the string and cut up cocktail sticks for the frame. She is standing in long summer grass using doohickey grass edger die.
We try and take the kids every summer at least once to pick our own strawberries as there's nothing better than choosing your own and eating a couple along the way :) Strawberry yummy Tilda shows how this is done perfectly lol!

and lastly I made a flip flop tag to go with my 'fun in the sun' word album which has Burger Tilda on it, you can't beat a good BBQ on a lovely summer evening.

Supplies:
'Sun' letters computer generated
miscellaneous papers, ribbon scraps, gems and book rings from stash
WOC flowers
DooHickeys - Fence, cloud, scalloped stitched lace border
SU flower punch and linen thread

Thanks for visiting my blog today and good luck to everyone taking part in the Totally Tilda DT call
xXx

Sunshine on a Rainy Day - Totally Tilda DT

Morning everyone,
I hope you're all ready for
brand new challenge......
Inspired by a song!
I thought it would be difficult as I've always struggled with this theme before but once I got looking through my Tildas I found loads I could do! Soooo I ended up with Sunshine on a Rainy Day by Zoe which I think was released in 1990. It meant I got to use a Tilda I haven't used in a long time - Tilda celebrates midsummer, and a background which I've never inked up.

I used loads of glossy accents as 'rain' on Tildas dress, hanging off the big leaves and splashing off her hand so you'll have to excuse the amount of photos but one shot didn't get all that I wanted to show. The one below was to show the glossy accents on Tildas shoes....

The next one was to show the glossy accents as rain splashing off Tildas hand....

and the last one is just a fun shot showing the doo bee pop tulips and doohickey dragonfly on them.

Supplies:
Go Kreate shaped card dies
DooHickeys - tag, Tildas ticket, dragonflies, peony, scalloped laced border, leaf
Papers Little yellow Bicycle, SU
Marianne Creatable rolled flowers
SU brads
gems, lace and charm from stash

Holiday snaps

Morning all, just a quick post to show you a few holiday photo's! I've been rushing round like a headless chicken since we got back, can't believe it was the 2nd June when we got home, and I've been chasing my tail ever since! Needless to say I'm behind with everything including my blogaversary post so even if it passes me by I'm determined to have a giveaway to celebrate this year even if it happens slightly later than I wanted it to!
Anyhoo, on to the photo's, I won't bore you with hundreds of them, I didn't realise I'd taken nearly three hundred until I uploaded them the other day!
The highlight of the holiday has to be going to Disneyland Paris....

My three kids posing in front of Mickey outside Walt Disney Studio Park

My daughter Jasmine at Disneyland Park entrance

My kids and their three cousins (plus a couple of other kids) having their piccie taken with Rex off Toy Story

We had our picture taken with Slepping Beauty's castle in background as the sun was setting

A magical place day and night, loved it when the lights came on with the big display celebrating 20 years of Disneyland Paris, you can just see Tinkerbell flying over the 20!

We had to visit the Eiffel Tower and we walked up to the second level so got some great pictures looking down

The Arc de Triomphe

After the day in Paris we had to get out again and my husband must have nerves of steel as we were mad enough to park right in the centre of Paris and then had to negotiate the traffic to get out again. All I kept hearing him say was 'Oh my god......oh my god!!!' as the cars and bikes came at us from all directions, extra lanes were created on  numerous occasions and it was every man for himself! I just kept hold of the camera merrily taking photo's of anything and everything!
Right that's it for now, I will be back tomorrow with my latest card for Totally Tilda, have a great weekend xXx
