Simply Magnolia DT - Black,white and one other colour

Hi everyone,

I have my DT inspiration for you today for

Simply Magnolia's

midway reminder of our current challenge which is

'Black, white and one other colour'

This colour combo can be applied to most projects and especially Halloween and Christmas creations.

So, as I've been in the zone lately with Christmas cards I thought I'd do another! (I'm sure I'm going to get fed up with them soon lol!)

Deep Ocean challenge DT- 'Just one layer'

Hi everyone! I'm here with my latest creation for 

Deep Ocean Challenge

the theme this time is

'Just one layer'

and I had great fun creating this Christmas card! I was amazed to find how much I could put on just one layer and I could have carried on but I didn't want to have overload and spoil it!

I cut my watercolour paper using the Go Kreate shaped card die I'd used for the base of my card. Then I stamped Magnolia's Tilda with snow heart and masked her with an SU Christmas tree. Tilda is coloured using DI's. The snow around her is pearl maker pen.

I added plenty of shabby white frantage

The snowflakes and Merry Christmas text are from - the girls' paperie - stamp set 'Tinsel and Twig'

The final touch was crackle accents on the snow heart

Magnolia images are all coloured with distress inks, white Frantage around the image and machine stitched at the edge

The poinsettias, leaves, fence and swirl have snowtex added
