Anything but a card - Midweek Magnolia DT

Morning all

It's Midweek Magnolia time again, yippee!

This fortnight we are making

'Anything but a card!'

So to be in with a chance of being in our Top 3 or winning that fabulous mystery prize from the one and only Magnolia, Sweden, just ensure that your Magnolia creations are not backlinked or entered into more than five challenges including ours!

 

For my 'non card' project, I decorated a miniature watering can. Placing decorative pins in the holes in the spout, a range of flowers in the larger opening and a spellbinders leaf with white acrylic paint.

 

 

Magnolia mini Tilda and bench (coloured with DI's, shabby white frantage around image and pink stickles around edge)

Spellbinders circle and lacey circle used to frame the image, the tag tied up with thin pink ribbon and scrap of lace

Fun in the sun for Deep Ocean Challenges

Hi everyone,

tonight sees the start of another fab challenge over at

Deep Ocean......

Summer Fun!

Although it's not sunny at the moment in the UK, it's very overcast and miserable, and I can't wait for the sun to reappear!! It's just typical that as soon as the kids finish school for the summer that the weather goes downhill!

 

Anywho.....I'm hoping that my sun inspired card makes the sun come back out!

SM/LHOSM DT - Christmas in July/Favourite colour combo

Hi everyone,

I've got my newest card to show you today for two DT's....

Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia

who want to see you make something using your favourite colour combo

As you can see, as far as Christmas cards go, my favourite colour combo is classic red and green with plenty of white for good measure!

Midweek Magnolia DT - Embossing

Morning everyone!

I'm back with another card to show you, today sees the start of our next fabulous challenge for you over at

Midweek Magnolias......

and this fortnight we would like to see your

Embossing!

Whether you prefer heat embossing or dry embossing, I'm sure you are like me and can't make anything without some sort of embossing!

To be in with a chance of winning that awesome Magnolia prize, just make sure you don't enter more than five challenges including ours!

 

 

I used an embossing folder called 'In bloom' on the base card criss cross halves and then rubbed TH DI scattered straw over random parts of the embossed pattern. Lace from my stash was added to the criss cross edges. Magnolia DooHickeys: swirl and butterfly were added detail. 

 

 

The inner tag features an LOTV sentiment, SU small flower stamp around the edges and the Magnolia DooHickey butterfly as already mentioned (with plenty of Frantage!)

 

Magnolia Golden Week Tilda (coloured with DI's, surrounded by liquid pearl dots, shabby white frontage, black soot DI and faux stitching)

Spellbinders labels sixteen with white pen faux stitching under the image.

Summer Fun/Anything Goes LHOSM/SM DT

can't believe it's two weeks since I posted on here, life is just too manic right now and I can feel things spiralling out of control eeeek! I feel like I'm on a roller coaster that I can't get off and it's not a great feeling! School summer holidays - 2 and a half weeks away and counting lol!
