Allsorts challenge for the DT

Morning blogland,
Sorry this post is a bit late, busy as ever and simply can't wait for the school hols to begin! This week over at Allsorts,
the lovely Brenda set us a
 DT challenge,
providing us each with a kit to work our magic on and come up with something based on our individual style. I have to say, the challenges just get better and better and I've really been looking forward to this for a while!
This is what I came up with, and I apologise in advance for the poor photo quality but I lost my camera this week and had to use my phone, hence they are a little out of focus!

This is the outside of the card

and this is what's inside:
I kept it fairly plain at the sides to write a message and I free hand doodled on the bird in gold gel pen.
The idea behind the card is that the empty birdcage on the front breaks open when you untie the ribbon, to reveal inside the card that Tilda has magically freed the bird with a flourish of magic stars!

Supplies:
This kit generously provided by Brenda (papers varied)

Magnolia Tilda catching stars coloured in DI's (mainly old paper and vintage photo)
Magnolia Tildas lace border and peony petal doohickeys
Go Kreate die to shape the top front of the card
WOC flowers
SU Circle of Friendship stamp

Thanks for visiting me today, hope you find inspiration from the DT cards over at Allsorts this week and I will be back next Saturday for more Allsorts fun!
Hugs,

Hi Nicola and thank you for the lovely message you left the other day, I really appreciated it xx. I really love the challenge you had, no surprise you were looking forward to it and I love what you did with it too, such a sweet idea. The gatefold is very clever with Tilda inside letting the bird free and your colouring of Tilda is superb.

Hope your camera turns up soon, nightmare!!!

Have a good weekend. Hugs, Chris xxx
