Allsorts DT #165 Case It

Morning everyone,
I hope everybody's been enjoying the glorious weather we've had this week in the uk, we've certainly made the most of it. Hubby's been off work and first week of the school hols has seen us here, there and everywhere. I'm ready for a rest lol! Tuesday we visited Woburn Safari Park and it never disappoints, as there is so much to see and do, Thursday we hired a boat on the Norfolk Broads and had a very relaxing day stopping off for a BBQ half way. Yesterday we indulged ourselves at Cadbury World and got lost on the way out of Birmingham lol! We took the sat nav but it ran out of charge when we got there and thought we could navigate our way out without it.....we bought a map, a replacement sat nav car charger and went miles out our way to finally arrive home four and a half hours later. Needless to say, while Neil's at work for the next three weeks, the kids and I will be staying close to home lol!
Anywho, another sunny Saturday and a new
challenge, brought to you by our lovely Emma, who has set a
Case It
 challenge for us all.
I used Go Kreate shaped card die for the base of my card, drawing round the inner edge of the die on Magnolia's Scandanavian maps paper for my paper layer. The strip across the bottom is made up of nitwit pale blue paper cut into 'waves' using TH scrollwork, a thick band of lace and SU linen thread holding a shell charm and a small decorative shell. My Winner Takes All Swimming Tilda is coloured using DI's, framed with nesties lacey circles and layered on top of cheesecloth. The seaweed was cut from paper scraps with nesties foliage. All the bubbles on the image are pearls and I used glossy accents on Tildas snorkel mask - the reason for the second photo but it doesn't show up (as usual!)

Challenges I would love to enter:
Tildas Town - Name your technique (Diecutting and distressing)

This is the card that Emma wants us to case and I followed her design as a sketch, the only thing I didn't add was a sentiment as I don't know what to use the card for yet.

Please scroll down for my vintage scrapbook hanger for the current Fussy and Fancy challenge which started yesterday.
Thanks for visiting today, your comments are what keep me going at the moment.
I hope you can join us at Allsorts this week, pop over to the main challenge blog to check out all the gorgeous DT inspiration that my teamies have made. We have to bid a fond farewell to our wonderful teamie Fleur and give a massive welcome to our two newest members, Sarah and Tracey, so lots of news for you all this week!
Have a brilliant weekend and see you next week for my hosted week at Allsorts
Hugs,

Evening Nicola,

Please to hear you enjoyed your week, thought about you at choccy heaven.

Running a tad late today, not a good day for Buffy and not got an awful lot done.

That nestie leaf die (well thinks it's one from the leaf set)works beautifully as seaweed. It's the one I use lest often, but will look at it from a different angle now.

Have a lovely Sunday,

B x
