DT - Add a Sky - Simply Magnolia

Hi all,
me again he he!!
This time it's to remind you that you have a week left to enter our
 Simply Magnolia challenge....
 Add a Sky!
As some of you may know, I've taken over the running of the Simply Magnolia challenge blog, so the pressure is on to carry on where Tracy left off and keep it the wonderful challenge blog you all know and love! I'm thrilled and excited by my new role and will give it 110%!

I apologise in advance for all the piccies - I must have been happy with this one lol!

Main paper is Magnolia but I also used up a few miscellaneous purple scraps too.
Flowers are from WOC.
Popped a couple of my favourite Prima Junkyard embellies on there: resin corner and zipper.
Pompom trim came from the Ribbon Girl, pearl string and cheesecloth are from my stash.

I'm obsessed with torn edges and corners and love finding different ways to add these beautiful zippers!

Dies used: Magnolia DooHickeys Tildas Ticket and leaf
Spellbinders circle and lacey circle
Go Kreate

Tilda with big balloon was coloured with Distress Inks, as was my sky background.
Gel pen and pearl maker pen adding those sparkly finishing touches I love so much at the moment.
Plenty of machine stitched edges and white acrylic paint too!

As you know our sponsor is Crafty Ribbons with this fab prize:

I would love to enter the following challenge:

DT - Marvelous Magnolia 'Beautiful Butterflies'

Hi everyone,
It's that time again - Marvelous Magnolia midway reminder!
That's right, it means you've got about a week left to enter our current challenge which is
  Beautiful Butterflies!

I thought I'd do something completely different for this and decorated a birdcage with flowers, butterfly and tag.

I made the base of the tag by cutting a piece of card top and bottom using Spellbinders labels sixteen but as usual I've covered most of it up lol! So I might have to do a CAS version sometime in the near future to show it off better.

Supplies:
Magnolia Tilda with Chanel the puppy (coloured with the trusty DI's)
Spellbinders label twenty three
Magnolia papers
Magnolia DooHickeys - lovely fence, butterfly
Spellbinders foliage
SU embosslits beautiful wings and baja breeze seam binding
WOC flowers
lace, doily, pearls and pearl string from stash

As you may know we have (count them!) FIVE wonderful sponsors this time!!!

DT - Deep Ocean challenge 'Wings'

Hi everyone,
It seems like ages since I posted anything but I'm finally back with something new to show you! Today sees the start of another awesome
and this time we want to see
'Wings'!
Now, I like this kind of challenge as there is so much scope - fairies, butterflies, birds.....I was really spoilt for choice and that isn't a good thing for a Libran like me as I'm terrible if I have too many decisions to make lol! Here's what I eventually decided on:

Magnolia Butterfly Tilda is coloured with distress ink, with pearl detail on wings, surrounded by shabby blue frantage.
Doo Hickeys - Tilda lace and angel wing.
The base is a Go Kreate shaped die and the paper is Nitwits.
Flowers are WOC and the leaves are a Spellbinder die.

We are lucky to be sponsored this time by The Ribbon Girl

with this fab prize up for grabs

Please come along and join us, check out my teamies amazing inspiration, I'll be back on Thursday with my latest Marvelous Magnolia creation!

DT Marvelous Magnolia - Newest or Favourite Tilda

Hi, I'm back again lol!....this time with my midway inspiration for
latest challenge which is to use your
 Newest or Favourite Tilda!
This means you have about a week left to enter your creation. I had quite a few new Tildas to choose from as I've just gone mad, spent far too much money and bought about twelve new Tildas from the Animal of the year and Zodiac collections! You could say I was spoilt for choice, but I finally decided to ink up Tilda with Leo the lion.....

Tilda and Leo are coloured with distress inks and I used a gel pen and pearl maker pen for finishing touches.
Magnolia doohickeys used are Doily flower and jungle leaves.
WOC roses in large flower centres, and green and white pearls completes my CAS card.

We are very lucky to have the wonderful Live and Love Crafts sponsoring us this time.

I would love to join in with the following challenges:
The Ribbon Girl - Flowers
Tildas Town - Anything Goes

Thanks for dropping by today, your comments always make my day!
Hugs and Happy Crafting!

DT - Deep Ocean Challenge: 'Distressing'

Evening everyone!
I don't know where the last two weeks have gone but I'm here with a new
and this time we'd like to see some
 'Distressing'.
There are quite a few ways to distress these days, so you could be spoilt for choice.

This is yet another male card, I've had a run of them lately what with OH's birthday last week and my dad's birthday coming up next month, so I thought I'd get them all out of the way in one go and I'm finishing my trio of masculine cards with my dad's fathers day card. Not much to say on this one as it's quite a simple card.....

I used some Basic Grey paper for the tall centre panel as it looks grungy and distressed.
I scruffed up the edges of paper and image with scissors to give the desired worn effect.
The stars are a Magnolia DooHickey, edges inked with Black Soot DI.
I used plenty of aged silver Frantage and Tim Holtz chit chat stickers.

I coloured Black Knight Edwin with Black Soot Distress ink only and the postmark stamps are also Magnolia.

Our lovely sponsor this fortnight is the fantastic Live and Love Crafts store
Logo

who have this prize waiting for one lucky winner....

Thanks for visiting my blog today and check out my teamies creations, they're absolutely stunning! We can't wait to see what distressed delights you have in store for us, and if last time's challenge is anything to go by we're going to have another difficult choice to make in picking out Top 3!
I will be back on Thursday with more inspiration with Marvelous Magnolia.

DT Simply Magnolia - Anything Goes

Hi there,
I'm back with new inspiration for
 next challenge,
 Anything Goes.....
and if the level of work from our last challenge is anything to go by, it looks like it's going to be another really tough decision narrowing down our Top 3!

It's my dad's birthday next month so I thought I would get ahead and get that one made out of the way, it's not that I don't like making male cards as the more I do the easier they become, but I do miss all the frills and flowers lol!

Go Kreate die used for the base shape of the card, layered shape is Spellbinders labels twenty three. The papers are mainly Tim Holtz Lost and Found and the blue paper is Stampin Up. The date stamp is LOTV and it is just tucked in behind the image, it can be pulled out like a tag.

I coloured Lucky Edwin and the background in distress inks, used SU's spiral punch on LH side and made a lasso out of linen thread to hang on Magnolia's lovely fence.

The card opens out to reveal a sentiment panel and the button hides a flap which can hold money or a giftcard.

We are lucky to be sponsored by

Challenges I would love to enter are:
Bunny Zoe - Distress
Magnolialicious - anything goes (3rd entry)
Tildas Town - anything goes

Thanks so much for popping by today, hope you get the chance to check out my teamies blogs too!
I'll be back on Tuesday with my DT creation for Deep Ocean challenge.
Hugs,
